Terms and privacy

ContractorCounter Review Terms

These product-specific terms explain the $19 purchase, AI limitations, delivery, retention, recovery, and how contract data is processed.

1. What the product is

ContractorCounter Review produces an AI-generated first-pass review of a construction contract PDF. Risky, one-sided, or ambiguous clauses are identified, graded by severity, explained in plain English, and highlighted on the document with suggested negotiation points and an overall assessment.

A free bundled sample is available without payment. Reviews of a customer's own contract run before payment; the full findings are made available after purchase.

2. Purchase and delivery

A review is a one-time purchase of US$19 per contract document through Stripe Checkout. No account or subscription is required. Prices are stated in US dollars; checkout may display an estimated local-currency equivalent.

On payment confirmation, the completed review is unlocked and emailed to the checkout address. Paid findings remain recoverable for 12 months from the last access. Anti-abuse limits apply to unpaid review runs, including daily network and contract-size limits.

3. Not legal advice

ContractorCounter Review is an automated first-pass review tool. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and no solicitor-client relationship is created by using it.

AI-generated findings can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inapplicable to a particular jurisdiction or project. Apply your own judgment and obtain advice from a qualified construction lawyer for contracts of consequence.

4. Privacy and contract data handling

The uploaded PDF is processed in the customer's browser and is not uploaded to our servers. Only extracted contract text is sent to our Cloudflare-hosted service and Google's paid Gemini API to produce the review. Customer contract content is not used to train foundation models.

Unpurchased findings are stored for up to 7 days. Paid findings are stored for 12 months from the last access, after which they are automatically deleted. The marked-up PDF is built in the browser and sent only for requested delivery; it is not retained on our servers.

Stripe processes payment and full card details never reach our systems. Network addresses are used to enforce free-review limits. Recovery uses the checkout email and a one-time verification code.

5. Refunds

If a purchased review cannot be delivered, contact support with the Stripe receipt for a full refund. Otherwise, fees are generally non-refundable once the review is delivered, subject to rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

6. Questions
